Let Go of Your Old Patterns - Release Resistance

I am calling this my Shakti Gawain period. Just discovered one of her Reflections in the Light, Daily Thoughts and Affirmations and it is definitely food for thought.

As I peruse the book, I find simple affiirmations which go to the heart of the matter - they always follow the passage for your daily reflection.

We all know as well that when our life starts falling apart, our instinctive re-action is to grab onto whatever it is and hold on tight with a death grip. I am here to tell you from my experience, that as incredibly painful as letting go may be, you have to release resistance in order to rebuild.

Let things fall apart

As you strengthen the commitment to trusting yourself, everything in your life may change. At first, as you begin to let go of your old patterns, it may appear that things in your life are falling apart. You may find that you have to let go of certain things you've been attached to.

Of course, these changes can be upsetting and frightening. Over time, however, you will find that this is all part of the transformation you are going through. As you learn to be true to yourself, you will find that you attract people, work, and other circumstances that reflect your evolution and development.

I am letting go and staying open.

Kill the Beast in Your Subconscious and Free Yourself

I finally saw the movie Inception - a story about ensuring your thoughts are not stolen and used against you particularly when you are asleep.

It was an excellent movie however, I want to talk about a deeper message that I gained from it. That was lots of food for thought that required a long, slow digestion.

Thought projection and interception

First off, let me assure you that your thoughts are intercepted when you are awake more than you realise. It happens all the time.

You project your thoughts and intentions unconsciously and any astute observer in a heightened state of awareness can read you like the proverbial open book.

Think of parents/caregivers who can look at their child and know when they are up to some mischief.

We humans operate on emotions after all and that is the connection we make and share that allows us to be "read" and vice versa.

Making an intuitive leap

You have been in situations where you make an intuitive leap with a boss, co-worker, friend just from their body language often betrayed by expression and speech. Sometimes, you even know what they are going to say before they say it, right.

The basis of the movie is using drugs to render themselves and their victims unconscious and have a controller i.e. someone trusted to watch over the bodies while in that state to wake them in case of danger.

The bad guy/good guy's (DiCaprio) nemesis in the movie is his wife, and while he is up to his crooked neck "down under", she keeps intruding into his "reality". She was already doing so in his waking life and that terrified him so imagine how he must feel when he believes he is in control in the dream world he created to trick his prey, only to find himself as a victim.

It is that very powerful emotion - fear - that gives her the hook she needs to become a powerhouse in his dream world.

Powerful negative emotions

He feels guilty about her death and those destructive feelings binds him to her. Does that ring any bells with you? Bet it does...

Emotions are both powerful, life-giving and soul-destroying elements when the are negative and out of control. It is up to you to take control of your thoughts and emotions and ensure that no one uses them to manipulate you.

Burgeoning awareness
When your awareness begins to burgeon like a pretty Spring bud, you begin to notice your emotions and those of others. You also become aware of their motivations (which betrays their thought processes) and it is entirely up to you to either make a pre-emptive strike by bringing up the sticky issue, if it is important to you and clear the air or letting it play out.

If  you let it play out be aware that it is the other person's problem.

Keep in mind at all times that you alone are responsible for the way you feel, no one else.

Mental chatter and it's destructive power
We all get so caught up in our noisy mental chatter and feelings that we forget what is real and important to us that is what happened to our protagonist (DiCaprio) in his latest criminal foray into his latest target's mind which by the way, feels like a dream to the unaware person living the experience.

He forgot that his wife was dead despite the destruction she created in the subconscious world where the lived drugged out for a long time.

Lucidity
What he did not understand was that it was his feelings that were empowering her to create additional mayhem which almost destroyed. If that had happened, he would have died in the real world. In other words, he would not wake up from the drug-induced dream.

He survived and the destruction ended "down-under" when he was reminded that she was not real because she was already dead in the real world (she had committed suicide years before).

That reminder enabled him to kill her in his subsconscious and thus free himself of his guilt and the resulting pain.

From that moment on his real life and living began.

Begin living your real life as it is today. Kill the beast in your subconscous and free yourself. Start living now!

Resistance is futile in evolution
At times, particularly when you have reached a particular stage of your evolution, the soul journey begins and it is exquisitely painful but let me tell you right now, resistance is futile.

You will come out on the other side changed forever and will not recognise yourself and that is why you are here - to live and experience and evolve and be who you are. After all life is for living.

You are in charge at all times of your thoughts and the emotions that accompany them. Own them. Start acting and stop re-acting and watch your life blossom.

Namaste!
