Increase your Happiness - Use this Happiness Secret for 21 Days

Source: sendmyflower.com
Because I feel I'm in a slump and am finding it difficult to let go - as usual - which I am being forced to again by circumstances as I have reached another level in my evolution, the Universe guided me to the wonderful Jo Dunning's site that I haven't visited for a while. I found one of Jo's Gems, the Happiness Secret.

This feels right as so much is not turning out as I expected and the only thing that's keeping me going is my daily gratitude list where I write down one thing each day for which I'm grateful or happy.

It's great to remember that we create our own happiness but I think, in fact I know, that we forget that, often. This is one way of showing love to your Self by pursuing this one simple act of jotting down quick notes about what makes you feel happy or grateful. This is not journaling, that's completely different.

You probably know but I'll repeat just in case. The 21-day duration is necessary as that is how long it takes to develop a new habit. Repetition rewires the brain.

I strongly advise that you to also check out Jo's The Wish Project.

Happiness Secret

If you would like to increase your level of happiness for the next 24 hours here is a simple little secret you can use that only takes 30 seconds.

The first thing when you wake up, write down 5 things that make you feel grateful or happy. This simple act will increase your happiness biochemistry for the next 24 hours! This gives you greater happiness, better problem solving, increased memory, greater insights, more energy and a much improved experience of life.
If you are unable to write down the 5 things then just thinking about them will also help. Writing is more effective because it involves more of your senses and more brain activity than just thinking.

If you choose to use this Happiness Secret for 21 days in a row, it will increase your biochemistry for happiness and higher consciousness functioning for the next 6 months!

Inner exploration - Discover more of your past lives and Live Now

Best Blogger Tips
When you do things from your soul you feel a river moving in you, a joy. When action come from another section, the feeling disappears. ~Rumi

Peony - Moyariya
Inner exploration on your own is always useful. It enables you to go behind the veil of illusion where you live. That is the only place to find the truth of why things are going wrong in your life. It's sometimes unpalatable, sometimes not but always gratifying. Never beat yourself up over it.

You see, we all lie to ourselves so that we don't have to take action to get our lives in order. We don't want to get anyone upset by changing anything not even ourselves and so, we just go along pretending that everything's okay when it's patently not.

A perfect example is this new friend of mine. We're both of middle class upbringing, educated, I'm non-religious and she is and we ended up living in a homeless shelter for different reasons.

So, we decided to support and push one another to vigorously seek out opportunities which would enable us to quit the shelter by December 2013.

Over the past weeks however, I noticed that her energy dipped. She was moving slower, started acting anxious but denied it, began listening to the blandishments of an alcoholic who is married, began having stupid accidents, was frequently tired and the most telling, has become very critical of those around her which is so very unlike her.

When I brought up these things she denied it all.

She goes to church services twice per day when she's not working but thank goodness she doesn't preach yet she is unaware that she is feeling depressed mainly fosted by the positive signs and contacts that I have been receiving in my daily job searches.

She has now developed, literally overnight, what sounds like a sticky chest cold that hurts when she coughs at night and is losing her voice (inability to express herself verbally). I had told her a few days before that whatever negative (resentment) feelings she was harbouring - over missed opportunities, being swindled by family etc. - she had to "get it off her chest" in order to lift her spirits and gain clarity to move forward.

She is being afflicted by the emotional clutter from the unacknowledged and deeply felt hurt which she denies.

Chucking that garbage out significantly boosts your energy and enables you to see past that comforting, illusory veil.

Pink Hibiscus - Ira Nathenson
Here are 13 simple empowering coping skills and Booster posts to spring you to the next level which may contain a technique you identify with to get you started on the road to where you need to be. This is personal growth at its best.

Real life, living in the Now is all you and I have got and it is the best. Take it from me people. No matter what is happening that you think is so awful, denying it and pretending it is otherwise is perilous to your existence.

When you feel stuck and can't seem to get restarted, take time out to review those false beliefs. The Universe, Source is telling you it's time to discover a brand new world full of opportunities just waiting for you.
Also, Madisyn Taylor suggests a simple technique in her article Memories of the soul to handle those feelings of déjà-vu most of us have experienced at some time in our lives that will help you uncover limiting beliefs you didn't know you had.

To discover more about your past lives, consider keeping a notebook where you can record anything that could be a memory from a different lifetime.

You may also feel drawn to a particular period in history, a seemingly unfamiliar locale, or a new person you’ve met who seems oddly familiar.

Pick a time and choose a place where you can relax. Envision your body being filled with healing white light. Remember that nothing you see or hear will harm you.

Ask yourself what you hope to achieve through regression and connect with your inner vision. Observe what you see without judgment. When you are done, think about how what you experienced relates to your present life.

There may be beliefs from a past life that you are still operating under but are now ready to let go of. The significance of your past life memory may not be immediately obvious until much later. You can make the most of your past lives by learning from them.

While past life regression can be an exciting journey, it! is not a substitute for living in the present where we are most needed right here and now. dailyom

5 Simple Moves To Transform Your Body In 4 Weeks

AddThis Social Bookmark Button
Best Blogger Tips
I found these great exercises for us ladies fifty and over to build muscle and bone strength, and tone and tighten, from Barbara Hannah Grufferman's post Aging gracefully: transform your body with 5 simple moves. She also wrote The best of everything after 50.

Barbara says "Just as David Kirsch challenged me, here's my challenge to you: Do these five exercises every day for four weeks, then post a comment on this Aging gracefully article (or connect with me on Facebook) describing your experience. I know that, like me, you will see a major change in your body. And, even more importantly, you will be helping to keep osteoporosis away."

First, a few guidelines:
  • Do these every day
  • Do them as a circuit (move from one to the other, quickly)
  • Have your sneakers on
  • Use a yoga mat
  • Remember to breathe
It's best if you do three sets (or more) with a 15 second "breather" in between each set. As you progress, trying adding more sets. This entire program will take less than 15 minutes to complete.

Here are the five exercises that will transform your body:

1 — Push-Up:

Nothing symbolizes fitness quite like the simple push-up. It tests your entire body by engaging every part of it -- arms, chest, abdomen, hips and legs.
Photographer: Frank C. MüllerImage via Wikipedia
Doing them is the easiest, fastest and most effective way to get fit. They are the gold standard. You may need to start with a modified push-up (on your knees), but eventually, you'll build up to the full push-up.

How to do a full push-up: Make your entire body straight, like a plank, with your toes and the balls of your feet on the mat, and hands directly under your chest.

Using your arms, go down to the count of 4, and back up to the count of 4. Do 12-15 reps.

2 — Squat: This is one of David's favorite exercises for working the entire lower body, thighs, hips and butt. The movement is as if you are sitting in a chair.
2010-09-08-bodyweightsquats.jpg

How to do a squat: Stand with your feet under your hips, shoulder width apart.

Extend arms in front of you, for balance (or hold onto the back of a chair).

To the count of four, slowly bend your knees, with your chest and butt out, stopping once you are almost "sitting in a chair."

It's essential that you push your butt out as much as possible as you're going down, to keep the pressure off your knees. Do 15 reps.

2010-09-08-pliesquat.jpg3 — The plié squat:

This version of the squat focuses on the inner thighs, a problem area for many women, especially.

How to do a plié Squat: Stand with feet wider than hip distance apart.

Turn toes out and heels in.

Slowly bring your body weight back onto your heels as you bend your knees out toward your toes, to the count of 4, and squat down while pushing your butt out.

For both squats, never tuck your tailbone in. That puts too much stress on knees.

4 — The plank: This is an incredibly hard, but Zen-like, position that is one of the most effective exercises you can do, because it works your entire body.

US Marine recruits performing push-ups: in pro...Image via Wikipedia How to do a Plank: Hold your body in a "plank" position, simulating the "up" part of a push-up, but stay there, holding perfectly still, for 30-60 seconds.

Keep your abs tight and your back flat the entire time (see photo).

Try to lengthen your whole body, reaching back through your heels and forward through the top of your head. Your heart will be pounding, your arms will be shaking, but try to make it to 60 seconds (or more).

5 — The sit-up: Our abs are getting a good workout by doing the push-ups and the plank, but it's still smart to spend a little time doing an exercise just for them.

Strong abdominal muscles look good, but they will help maintain good posture and take a lot of the pressure off our backs as we age. David loves the good, old-fashioned sit-up the best.

How to do a Sit-Up: Lie completely flat on your back, hands behind your head, pull your belly button down into the floor, and using your abdominal muscles, pull yourself up, and then lower yourself down.

Exhale as you go up, and inhale going down. Keep your legs and feet flat on the floor, and see if you can do 20 in 60 seconds.

Start with one set every day, and then build up to three sets (or more) with a 15-second "breather" in between each set. Not only will you be strengthening your muscles, but you'll be getting a solid cardio workout, as well.

Ride The Wave of Positive Energy Flow: Clear Clutter To Re-Energize Your Surroundings and Boost Your Energy

AddThis Social Bookmark Button
Best Blogger Tips
Stapeliopsis pillansii flowerStapeliopsis Pillansii by Martin_Heigan We all do this in some way however I urge you to do it consciously from now on - I am talking about re-energizing your surroundings and boosting your energy.

Whether it is spring cleaning, clearing out the garage, basement or attic or just removing clutter from your living room, bathroom, office or other living space, it does the trick.

Thank you Wayne Dyer for this suggestion. It never occurred to me to think of clearing clutter or even dusting and vacuuming as re-harmonizing the energy in my space but of course it is.

Think Feng Shui (pronounced fung chooway) people – that ancient Chinese technique used to harmonize the energy in public and private spaces.

This act is an intrinsic part of everyday spirituality; not every day though, only when it bothers:-)

Did you also know that clearing clutter attracts abundance? You can also clear clutter with EFT.

Think about it, when something is out of place or the dust is so obvious when the sun hits a particular spot or there is so much stuff around that you can't think, it bugs the hell out of you so much that you have to clean it up, clear it out or have it done or leave the room.

But, you can only leave that room so many times!

When something is wrong in your environment you feel it
and that is a sign of energetic disharmony in your home or workspace.

The disorder that you observe in your living spaces, since it is not usually confined to one room, is an outward sign of your mental disarray. Most times you can realign this low-level (negative) energy by cleaning and clearing out clutter.

It is a significant dysfunction however when the clutter is pathological as in floor to ceiling items that "I must keep because..." When that is the case, get professional

A room(s) feels lighter and looks brighter when you  remove the offending clutter and you also feel fresher and breathe easier as if there is more air in the room. All that from such a simple act and the solution could be as simple as vacuuming the space.

You may even end up re-arranging the furniture until it's just right all because you are riding the wave of this positive energy flow which is enhancing your instincts. As Abraham-Hicks would say, you were tuned in, tapped in and turned on – you are in the vortex.

Re-energizing your surroundings boosts your energy. That is a fact!

4 Foods To Boost Your Mood and Increase Your Energy, Naturally

AddThis Social Bookmark Button
Best Blogger Tips
'Cavendish' bananas are the main commercial cu...Image via Wikipedia
BANANAS!

The fructose in bananas provide a satisfying energy boost and the fibre prevents a spike in your blood sugar.

And unlike a Snickers or other sugary bar, the natural fructose doesn't lift you high then drop you like a stone one or two hours later ensuring that you need another sweet bar to lift you.

Eating just two ripe medium sized bananas keeps you satisfied for hours and prevent sugar cravings as well. Have as many as you like for breakfast for instance — just make sure they are ripe —  the clue here is if it doesn't taste sweet, it's not ripe!

Therefore, after purchase leave bananas on the kitchen counter for at least two days before eating.

This wonderful, sunshine fruit is full of vitamins — B6, A and C as well as Tryptophan, potassium, phosphorous, iron, protein and it's a healthy carbohydrate too!

Carbs help the brain to absorb Tryptophan and vitamin B6 converts Tryptophan into that wonderful mood-lifting hormone, serotonin.

You could also add a hefty slice of ripe papaya; they taste great together and if you find ripe papaya smells/tastes too strong (like me), I have discovered that ripe bananas actually minimise its strong flavour.

Eating such a breakfast meal guarantees you will not feel hungry until lunchtime (with or without papaya).

Bananas make a quick and satisfying snack. You will not gain weight or get a spike in your blood sugar — you will simply feel very satisfied. It's a perfect way to boost your mood and increase your energy, naturally!

You could also make a fabulous smoothie by adding almond or vanilla flavoured Silk Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk or even skim milk if you feel you must add an animal product.

Bananas are solid and much more filling than a muffin. Eat until you feel full. You cannot put on weight eating a bowl of fresh fruit for breakfast! That is a fact regardless of any information to the contrary you may have heard.

Those unaccustomed to eating fruit for breakfast may believe that it's impossible to feel satisfied and full for four hours until lunchtime. They would be correct depending on the fruits you eat.

If you eat only half a papaya, a slice of watermelon or a portion of berries and yoghurt for instance, they would be correct because these fruits contain more than 80 percent water; and a yoghurt has little to recommend it.

A TIP — Fruits eaten alone are digested within a maximum of one to two hours. You therefore must have unsalted nuts or bananas on hand to counter that hunger.

Photo of four varieties of bananas.4 types of bananas via WikipediaTwo examples of your body's digestive processes:

1- A slice of banana cake takes six to eight hours to digest because the body has to separate and break down all the individual ingredients which is why it takes so long.

2- A nice meal of a burger (fish, chicken or beef) and fries, a pizza and a coke and/or ice cream or yoghurt, or a steak followed by coffee and dessert goes down great, doesn't it.

For your information people, any of those meals will take eight hours to digest for the non-meat items; your body breaks down and digests the animal products (meat/fish) within three to five days.

So when you eat any combination of animal flesh twice or three times (bacon, sausages, pepperoni pizza, etc.) a day, every day of the week, it adds up to a fat gut and all of the undigested food and rotting meat are all stored in that roll around your middle.

Think on that and go bananas!

WALNUTS!

Walnuts contain more protein than almonds. However, almonds are still my favourite because of the taste. Happily, I stuff my face with all types of nuts and seeds minus peanuts and cashews of course which contain substances and toxins the body cannot break down and digest.

Walnuts - NociWalnuts by funadiumIn addition to protein, omega-3, vitamin B6, Tryptophan and folic acid (folate) – the mood lifters – are all present in walnuts.

Nutritionists say one gramme is a daily recommendation and that works out to half ounce of walnuts plus the fibre and Omega-3. That's pretty great, don't you think!

Two teaspoons of walnut oil will also do the trick.

A TIP — Use walnut oil in a tasty salad dressing with a few more walnuts thrown in for good measure.

Nut oil adds a subtle flavour and can be mixed with a tasty cold-pressed virgin olive oil (the first pressing). If you add three crushed cloves of garlic, chili flakes or powder, balsamic or a sweet Japanese vinegar to your salad, maybe some cubes of Greek feta or aged goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, black olives (much healthier than green which are not ripe), some raw sunflower seeds and so on...

You get a scrumptious and tasty salad that beats those commercial, fatty salad dressings any day!

SUNFLOWER SEEDS!

Sunflower seeds are an excellent source of folic acid, Tryptophan, fibre and magnesium which regulate and significantly boost your mood! Now I know why I used to stuff my face with the stuff right out of the the dehydrator.

A handful of sunflower seeds contain what the powers that be say is half of your recommended daily dosage of magnesium. Not only that, sunflower seeds make a very filling snack. Add 3 dates, 2 dried figs, maybe some dried apricots, throw in a handful of your favourite unsalted nuts (raw is best) and you have a bang on target meal whenever you feel hungry or get an anxious attack and feel the need for solace through food.

Nuts, grains and seeds stop hunger cold - just like bananas!

When you feel tired, anxious, nervous, irritable, depressed, suffer from insomnia, have poor concentration, it means your body is probably low in magnesium. This is probably an unknown and tasty mood booster which is lightweight and easy to carry.

Sunflower seeds, hulled and dehulled. Focus st...Sunflower seeds with & without shell via WikipediaGet a natural fix from food or herb drinks and stay away from the chemical equivalent – which your body cannot absorb – that only benefits the food-pharma industry by boosting their ratings on the NYSE.

Folic acid is a B-complex multivitamin necessary for the optimum functioning of your central nervous system.

And here's something else I didn't know, fibre helps maintain stable hormone levels as well, so pay attention here ladies.

Stock up, snack up and keep it raw. They are easy to digest and absorb in this way.

TWO TIPS —

1- In Middle East countries, they eat tons of grilled sunflower seeds in the shell.  However, it is not necessary to buy shelled seeds that you have to chew and spit out. That's messy and you don't get the full benefit of the nutrients they contain.

Seeds already shelled are widely available unless you are grilling seeds from your own garden pumpkin. Good luck with that.

2- Heating food above forty degrees Farenheit (40F) kills most of the nutrients. So if you want your body to function at its best, give it a fighting chance and stick to raw nuts and seeds.

I am not going to lecture you about the food you eat nor the lack of nourishment they contain after being picked, processed, stored, shipped then sold to you as fresh in the supermarket because I am also part of the problem.

You see, I now live in a house with a microwave oven which I haven't used in two decades and I started using it over the last year or so to reheat food. So let's not be too rigid, okay.

Raw nuts and seeds are easy to digest and absorb. Okay, enough with the preaching.

CHOCOLATE!

Divine chocolate fountainChocolate fountain by rachelandrew The all time favourite mood booster that we all know and love is undeniably... chocolate!

I was never a big fan of chocolate until I moved to Switzerland, the chocolate consumption capital of the world. Eating more than a few squares gives me a terrible headache and too much chocolate makes me gag but I still indulge from time to time.

When my body is deficient in iron and magnesium I feel like I'm dragging myself everywhere. Low levels of these minerals cause depression – it's a scientific fact. When in that state I can and have eaten an entire Lindt hazelnut bar. No remorse!

My chocolate binges must always include hazelnut or almonds which means I need the nutrients contained in the nuts as well. Your body will always steer you right when you pay attention to what you put into it.

All chocolate mood boosters are sugar-related so let's not be naive about this, eh. Chocolate mood elevators are sugar, fat, caffeine, phenylethylamine, flavonols, theobromine, tyramine, magnesium and tryptophan.

Caffeine and Theobromine are stimulants that naturally occur in chocolate and you get a quick burst of energy when sugar and fat are added. These quick energy bursts are sustained by phenylethylamine, tyramine, magnesium and Tryptophan.

Now, despite the fact that these substances occur in higher concentrations in other foods, chocolate's advantage is the yummy, rich, texture that tastes so good and it's that very aroma that causes us to salivate, pulling us in by our collective nostrils.

Many women feel turned on just at the thought of their next touch-taste-smell chocolate encounter; I don't get it!

I guess you can tell that I am not not one of those who experience an orgasmic response to the thought of indulging in chocolate.

Divine Chocolate’s 70% Dark Chocolate with Ras...Rasberry chocolate by greenlagirl Because chocolate pleases so many of our senses, when eaten, it releases serotonin in the brain and mood-lifting endorphins in the body which makes you feel euphoric temporarily. That's probably why we over-indulge:-)

However, you need to know that constantly feeling the need for chocolate i.e. you have to have it every day, all year long and every year indicates that you have a serious illness that must be addressed.

If you fall into this category, get a thorough medical checkup (blood work, scans, the works), find an Ayurvedic doctor or a doctor who practises Chinese medicine but whatever you do, get yourself sorted.

And there you have it folks, 4 foods to lift your mood and boost your energy, naturally.

EFT Tapping for More Energy

Human Energy.Image by Elizabeth Patricia
I am a huge fan of EFT and for those of you who do not know anything about it - Learn EFT- Emotional Freedom Technique and how it could benefit you.

EFT is one of a wonderful, non-invasive and effective healing techniques out there.

Yes, I have been using it for over two years now and the results were pleasantly surprising. Honesty with yourself and perseverance through all the emotions which arise is key.

And you know what else, it does not require that you believe it will work. EFT is a tapping technique for healing almost anything traumatic.
The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.Tony Robbins
Here is a script for how to tap for more energy from one of my favourite EFT Experts - Magnus.  So go ahead and boost your energy people!
However, if you are new to EFT this is not where you should start. Follow the Learn EFT and How It Could Benefit You link instead because EFT tapping brings up unresolved emotional issues of which you may be unaware and if you are not prepared to take responsibility for dealing with them, do not start.
You can find out how tapping works from him as well and he has some great videos on his site, and so does my all-time favourite EFT expert Brad Yates!

What if we viewed every conflict that came into our lives as an "energetic invitation" to clear our own energy? Carol Look, EFT Master, asks this question in her newsletter Energetic Invitation and lays it all out. Yep, she is another of my favourites.
Magnus says:

I want to share with you a script I created for a friend who has 'M.E.' or 'Chronic Fatigue'. In creating it and tapping it myself I found that my own energy and motivation increased hugely.

If you have any energy challenges, I would like to hear how you get on with this script.

It's best to tap these phrases with the FULL round of EFT, including the 9-Gamut (the eye-rolling, counting bit). If you're not sure, follow my front page video on Tapping.com.

PART 1: Thoughts that destroy Energy

Start on the Karate Chop Point, and read aloud as many of these phrases as you like:

"Even though I Feel Poorly..."
"Even though I Am in a Bad Mood..."
Energy Arc, central electrode of a Plasma Lamp.Image via Wikipedia"Even though My Emotions are Bad..."
"Even though it's True that I Am Sick..."

"Even though I Feel Nothing..."
"Even though I Have Poor Thoughts..."
"Even though I Have Poor Feeling..."
"Even though sometimes it's good to be sick..."

"Even though I Hate Others..."
"Even though I Hate Myself..."
"Even though I Hate the Laws of the Universe..."
"Even though Everything Deteriorates..."

"I DEEPLY, and COMPLETELY... Love and Accept Myself."

Now say "I Love and Accept Myself" as you tap all the points: Eyebrow, Side of Eye, Under Eye, Under Nose, Chin, Collarbone, Below Nipple, and Under Arm.

Then do the 9-Gamut as in the video on the front page, and tap all the points again saying "I Love and Accept Myself".

You can use all 12 "Even though..." phrases in one tapping round if you want, or do them one at a time, it's up to you. Make sure you get through them all eventually.

PART 2: Deeper Questioning

Tap the Karate Chop point and say: (don't worry about answering each question)

"How do I Feel?"
"How is my Mood?"
"How am I Poor?"
"What is my Message to the World?"

"What stops me feeling things?"
"How do I feel about my Thoughts?"
"How do I feel about my Feelings?"
"What have I learned about being sick?"

"What do I Hate about others?"
"What do I Hate about myself?"
"What do I Hate about the Laws of the Universe?"
"Why must things deteriorate?"

You don't need to deliberately answer these questions, although you can if you want and if you notice anything you want to tap then go ahead.

Otherwise it's just to acknowledge whatever answers are there at the back of your mind.

Still on the Karate Chop:

"I Deeply and Completely Accept Myself, and I release anything that doesn't create more energy for me."

On all the other points:

"I Release anything that doesn't create more energy for me."

Then do the 9-Gamut, and again tap the other points.

PART 3: Positives :)

On the Karate Chop:

"I Feel Life in me..."
"There is Life in my Mood..."
"I Have Happy Emotions..."
"I want to tell the world I am healthy and worthy..."

"What I feel is just feelings..."
"I Have good Thoughts..."
"I Have good Feelings..."
"I know it's best to be healthy..."

"I Love Others..."
"I Love Myself..."
"I Acknowledge the Laws of the Universe..."
"Everything is Alive..."

"AND... I Deeply and Completely Love and Accept Myself."

Now tap through all the points:

"I Love and Accept Myself."

Then do the 9-Gamut, and again tap the other points.

After tapping this a few times, you might start to get a feel for what thoughts create energy and what thoughts destroy it. When you notice them don't judge yourself (that in itself destroys energy!), just tap them!

I have this script on my wall and have been tapping it daily. There are certain ideas that can apply to anything and everything and this is one of them.

That's all for now, Keep Tapping!

Consciousness IS Who You Are – Embrace Your Magnificence and Bloom

Norway Tromsoe: blue bloom from novalis 17.1...
We are spirit living a physical life in order to expand our consciousness. There is no limit to what any one of us can do. There are no limits!

The fact that there are no limits is hard  to accept and the same goes for a lot of you.

In my case, it was beaten into me literally and figuratively for years and absolutely everything was done to me to keep me in my place because I must not succeed further than the adults around me dared to imagine (which was not very far at all).

So why do we bog ourselves down with so much baggage? Because it is a learnt experience and frankly, I think it is high time that we said fuck off to  anyone who tries to limit us in any way, shape or form. Don't you?

Since consciousness is who you really are, the only way to tap into it and step into your rightful shoes is through daily meditation.

It took me such a long time to get here and I am daring to embrace my magnificence, and meditation (when I practise) smooths the way for me to be. How about you?

Embrace your magnificence and bloom!

We like to explain that only a part of the Consciousness that is really who-you-are is focused into the physical personality that you believe is you, so that you can then begin to consciously consider the larger part of you, who continues to remain Non-Physically focused.
Night Blooming Cereus
Night Blooming Cereus
Once you remember that you are a physical extension of Source Energy, you can then begin to consider, and consciously tend to, your alignment with your larger, Eternal, Non-Physical counterpart.
As you made the decision to focus into this physical time-space reality, you understood it to be a spectacular arena of balance and variety and perfect contrast.
You understood that there is no competition for resources, but only opportunities to give birth to your own ideas—and you understood that once an idea has been given birth, the means with which to fulfill it will follow.
And now here you are, an extension of Source Energy—focused in the environment of perfect contrast and balance, just as you have intended—exploring, deciding, preferring, creating, and becoming.

Making specific plans is an act of creation and gives the universe direction for its organizing power.

But we must keep in mind that we are co-creators and that we are making our plans based on our limited view of the future.
When we communicate with the universe in meditation, we may receive direction and be able to align ourselves and our plans with the universe's broader view.

But we must allow the universe to unfold our lives before us, using its knowledge of synchronicity to have us at the right place at the right time, even if it happens on a different schedule than we had hoped.
So today make your plans and follow them while listening for the universe to whisper in your ear to create something even more wonderful. —DailyOM

7 Things to know about the Five Tibetans: Boosting Your Energy the Natural Way

I wrote a post earlier this week on how to Boost Your Energy with the Five Tibetans Rites and wish to clarify some points based on a comment from one reader. The 7 things you should know are:

1 - The Five Tibetans is a physical workout. And it is so for everyone and anyone whether they're a yoga teacher, an aerobics instructor or a work-at-home mom. It is intense even though the entire routine with all twenty-one repetitions takes fifteen minutes!

2 - These Tibetan movements vigorously and rigorously work the entire body and all organs. They also stimulate the body's energy centres - you may know them as chakras. The effects are felt immediately during and after the very first session.

3 - The first movement will make you dizzy because it activates your energy centres. And the more toxic your body is, the more dizzy you will feel. Dizziness diminishes with practice as your body naturally starts to detox itself. Giving it some help to detox is a very good idea.

4 - It is not necessary to download the book itself. It was included to provide you with as much information as possible.

5 - The demonstration video with 73-year old Ellen Wood is meant to illustrate the right way of performing the Five Tibetans, and highlight the fact that anyone of any age could perform these movements.

However, it is not wise to follow her blindly or anyone else for that matter - including me - without informing yourself on what you are getting into. She is expert at performing these Rites and so am I.

6 - Therefore, if you have any physical disability, illness or pain and you are not sure if this ritual is for you or how it could affect your current situation, please read Mary Kurus' informative and insightful explanations to know what to expect and which alternative movements you should replace. And of course if in doubt, consult your medical practitioner.

7 - The alternative movements procure similar beneficial effects as the original Five Tibetans. They are detailed in Ms Kurus 's one-page document. This was the main reason for linking to her site.

PS.  The Five Tibetans should not be performed in the late evening if you are very sensitive energetically-speaking, and certainly no later than two hours before bedtime. Otherwise you will be like a jitterbug from all the energy and will be unable to sleep!

Here is one more site you should definitely check out: The information on boosting your energy the natural way with herbs, sea veggies -  delish! - tinctures, etc. are down-to-earth, practical, and very effective and obviously coming from someone who knows what she's talking about. I love that! Wise Woman's Ways of Boosting Your Energy.

Enjoy and Prosper!

So what do the Five Tibetans do and what are they? The Five Tibetans was first written in 1939 for us westerners and consists of five movements modified from a yoga practice by Tibetan monks centuries ago. They are each performed twenty-one times. The book can be downloaded free of charge.

The updated version which I purchased five years ago was written in 1985. Mary Kurus with the publisher's permission, provides detailed information and alternative movements based on this book to enable you to perform the movements correctly.

Best Blogger Tips

An old memory came back to me today. And it's only now as I'm doing my emotional clearing out that I realise how painful, traumatic and stressful it really was. Here's the story and how I cleared it with Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) - to become stressless.

It was the first time I saw my mother angry, fighting and cursing and it was with the man we lived with - my stepfather. From the day I met him when I was maybe six, I didn't like him and that never changed. Since he was the one who raped me when was 10 or 11, it just goes to show huh.

Thunder in my Universe

That fight broke out like thunder in my universe. One minute everything was calm as usual and then it all broke apart and never re-formed. At eight or nine, I was shocked, lost and abandoned in the living room. It was so clean and nicely put away with fresh curtains in the windows; such a contrast to what was happening outside.
