4 Reasons Why Mind Movies Do Not Work

Mind movies do not work!

We all know that for a fact, right. Wrong!

We hear stuff like that then we hear others say they are getting great results, so who do you want to believe.

It is about attracting what you want and you are tempted to give it a try, why not. It can't hurt to try, can it?

But nothing happens for you so you side with the nay-sayers.

MindMovies is taking people into an area of themselves
that maybe they've never gone. ~Bob Proctor

Michele Blood gives us 4 reasons for this non-achievement and it makes sense because I made all the mistakes she listed.

She has teamed up with the wonderful Bob Proctor and they are promoting a Law of Attraction MindMovie and I received her newsletter in which she talks about the reasons why MindMovies do not work.

As you will see the mistakes are obvious; I have made them because I figured it was a fad but a pretty one. I expected no results at all so of course, I didn't get any!

Here's how Michele tells it:

One of the things Bob talks about are some of the most common misconceptions about visualization, and boy can I relate. I remember when I first began exploring the Law of Attraction. I pretty much made ALL of these mistakes!

For example...

White DaffodilsImage by Rennett Stowe 1. You make some effort to practice visualizations for a few days--but nothing happens. So you decide it's a waste of time and stop. And guess what? Nothing happens. Duh.

2.  You think you have to spend hours every day intensely focused on the things you want most. You settle down in the Lazy Boy and have at it — and you either fall asleep, get a pounding headache, or start thinking about a problem you're having at work. What a hassle — no wonder you've given up!

3.  You've painstakingly glued a vision board together and you stare at it every day. You don't want anyone to know this, but you're bored. This whole activity is dull as dust and you don't feel much of anything except distracted.

4.  You're not completely sure visualization will work--so you figure it's not worth trying unless you are 100% certain something wonderful will happen.

In fact, you've perfected "why bother" into an art form. Any of these things sound familiar? Well here's the good news...

Bob's Got The Answers—And It Will Change Your Life » MindMovies. Here's one of my favorite quotes from this video...

"Even if you don't believe in it--do it anyway. My attitude is: if your way isn't working, try mine. I'm doing all right. I'm healthy, happy, and I'm wealthy. I earn more money in one hour than I used to in twenty years. So I must know something. And I know that this works."  ~Bob Proctor

Yellow flowerImage by *Brunna Peretti Loureiro* I sincerely hope you find this as encouraging as I do—because the thing is, even if you're not sure visualization will work for you and result in successful manifesting—just do it! Give it a try and see what happens.

But not for just a day or two--or even a week or two.

What you've got to do is make the commitment to spend a few minutes on this every single day—and I do mean EVERY DAY!

Maybe even morning and night—but consistently make the effort. Because according to Bob (and he should know!) it's the REPETITION of your visualizations that add up to a grand slam eventually.

Michele

Use Your Thinking and Your Focus To Create

Red Tulip bud 2Image by Thor Thorsson 1 Okay, the year is still brand spanking new and we all want to continue as we have started. So your thought for today is » clean up your act « change the way you think and focus on what you really want to create.

This is always true: What I think and how I feel, and what manifests, is always a vibrational match. But here's the big kicker: What manifests isn't manifesting instantaneously. So, you've got all this buffer of time leeway that makes you sloppy... If you thought a negative thought and a brick would instantly fall on your head every time, you'd clean up your thinking.

But you're not here to be punished about your thinking. You're here to use your thinking—and your focus—to create.

Allowing And Receiving Is A Direct Path To Abundance: Let It In!

Say YES to allowing and receiving. It benefits everyone.

When you allow, you send a signal to the universe which says I am ready to receive: notice I did not say "giving" which is an outward gesture only.

Because when you give you frequently forget to receive or maybe you simply do not think of it or shy away from the thought of getting someting back as "selfish". That is nonsense of course.

When you allow yourself to accept a gift — a smile, a compliment and so on — take a deep breath then just say Thank You.

When you allow yourself to receive, you are really saying "I am worth it" and the giver receives that message as well. Allowing and receiving is a direct path to abundance. Let it in!

Brad Yates, EFT Wizard, is here to help you remove the barrier to allowing and receiving.

Whatever You Desire Is Already Within You

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - DECEMBER 31: The annual N...Image by Getty Images via @daylife
Food for thought – an activity to start your new year right way – with right – thinking thoughts.

Aine Belton of  BeliefBusterKit.com asks us to take a leap of faith and imagine a new life into being.

Abraham-Hicks suggests we do this for thirty minutes every day — they call it our "Workshop" (where we create and energise the new life we desire).

Here's Aine's (pronounced Onya) thoughtful suggestion:
If you had the money you desired what kind of life would you be leading?
How would you be feeling on a day to day basis?
What might you be doing, who might you be with and where might you be?
What would be different?
What new visions and dreams would you be reaching for and achieving?

Allow yourself to step into this future you and experience your emotional state. Would you be feeling more confident, happy, peaceful, adventurous, joyous, generous, enthusiastic, visionary, resourceful...?

The secret is, you don't have to wait until you have more money to experience these emotions. They exist within you now and can be accessed right away.

FAITH » BELIEF

Flowers, like Kids makes us feel better and h...Image by -RejiK Everything is possible to the extent that you are certain... ~David Cameron Gikandi

You don't need to know how it will all work out, you only need to have faith that when you are committed, you will be supported. As you connect with a Divine calling that is bigger than yourself, miracles await you.  ~Cynthia Kersey, GiveALittleGetALot

Faith is the external elixir which gives life, power and action to the impulse of  thought.  Faith is the only known antidote for failure. ~Napoleon Hill

Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so. ~Belva Davis

Set your sights high, the higher the better. Expect the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future but right now. Realize that nothing is too good. Allow absolutely nothing to hamper you or hold you up in any way. ~Eileen Caddy

BOUND-LESS TIME

Whether time is long or short, and whether space is broad or narrow, depend upon the mind. Those whose minds are at leisure can feel one day as a millennium, and those whose thoughts are expansive can perceive a small house to be as spacious as the universe.
~Hung Tzu-ch’eng

You wake up in the morning, and lo!  Your purse is magically filled with twenty-four hours of the magic tissue of the universe of your life.  No one can take it from you. No one receives either more or less than you receive.

Waste your infinitely precious commodity as much as you will, and the supply will never be withheld from you. Moreover, you cannot draw on the future.  Impossible to get into debt.  You can only waste the passing moment. You cannot waste tomorrow. It is kept for you. ~Arnold Bennett

There is a bridge between Time and Eternity; and this bridge is the Spirit of man. Neither day nor night cross that bridge, nor old age, nor death nor sorrow.  ~Upanishads

SUFFERING » THE SOUL'S JOURNEY

He who has not looked on sorrow will never see joy. ~Khalil Gibran

A man sooner or later discovers that he is the master gardener of his soul, the director of his life. ~James Allen

"Do not make the mistake of thinking you are a powerless individual in a vast world," writes Tai Situ Rinpoche in our book Be The Change  "Know that you are armed with three great powers. You have the power of the body — the source of all action; the power of speech — the source of all expression; and the power of the mind — the source of all thought." ~Ed and Deb Shapiro

The psychological rule says that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside, as fate.

That is to say, when an individual remains undivided and does not become conscious of his inner contradictions, the world must perforce act out the conflict and be torn into opposite halves. ~Carl Jung

Much of your pain is self-chosen. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility: For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen. ~Kahlil Gibran

We treat each other with disrespect when we treat ourselves with disrespect.  Disrespect happens when we forget who we are beneath ego, right/wrong games.

Disrespect happens when we forget to take the time to enter the Stillness that lives in our heart, when we believe erroneously, that we are not worth the time to take on such a practice, and when we do not trust we are worthy to behold the Treasure that lives in our hearts.

Disrespect happens when we forget we are all One. What I do, or fail to give to you, boomerangs back. We are in the Web of Life together. ~Cara Barker

Noticing a single shortcoming in ourselves is far more useful than seeing a thousand in someone else. When it is our own: we can correct it. ~The Dalai Lama

Instead of creating expectations of what should or should not be happening, cooperate with the form that this moment takes.

Bring a 'yes' to the isness, because it's pointless to argue if it already is.  A greater intelligence is available to you when you no longer reject, deny, or 'don't want' what is. ~Eckhart Tolle

LIFE = CHANGE

When you feel most like holding on to something, it is usually the best time to let go. ~David Cameron Gikandi

Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become. ~Anonymous

Bless a thing and it will bless you. Curse it and it will curse you. If you bless a situation, it has no power to hurt you. ~Emmet Fox

Our job is not to change anyone. The best we can hope for is to come into a healthier relationship, a kinder, more compassionate relationship with our own Best Self, doing what we can to grow, releasing what causes stagnation, and cultivating the Wisdom to know the difference. ~Cara Barker

To make changes in the way we live our lives and how we treat each other means being aware that everything I think, say, and do affects everybody and everything else, just as they affect me. ~Ed and Deb Shapiro

If I believe that effort produces change, and I focus on completing and enjoying the tasks, not the specific results, then I win and I can change. I give myself the chance by believing in something that I know I can do – I can complete the activities and improve over time. If I focus only on the result then it’s too easy for me to defeat myself before I even start. ~Yaro Starak

MEDITATION—A WELL OF STILLNESS

You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait – be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice. It will roll in ecstasy at your feet. ~Kafka
AUTHENTICITY » INTEGRITY

The truth is more important than the facts. ~Frank Lloyd Wright

The cruelest lies are often told in silence. ~Adlai Stevenson

There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting. ~Buddha

Truth telling builds better boundaries. No one runs over your boundary unless you let them. Restrict what you allow. This is basics for improved self-care. ~Cara Barker

Second Life: FlowerSecond Life: Flower by karindalziel A GODDESS LIKE YOU

If you're embodying joy, compassion and sensuality, telling him how great he is, making him feel like a billion bucks and the conqueror of worlds, you have no competition. Anywhere. Good men will come out of the woodwork to find a goddess like you. ~Alex Benzer

...we women are powerful beings, especially as we age. Not powerful in the patriarchal paradigm, but powerful in the sense that we are more authentic, more real, more truthful and more beautiful. And powerful as the crone, the wise woman, the woman who embodies crone energy.

The crone is the woman who no longer sees herself only in relation to others, but as a woman unto herself, a woman who stands alone in the center of her own beingness, in the center of her own truth, and from this center relates to the people in her life from what is real for her.

The patriarchy fears the crone. She is truthful, she is powerfully creative, she is intuitive and instinctual, and she loves fiercely.

The patriarchy does everything it can to deny this, even to denigrate this and the women who embody it, because old women are wise women are powerful women.

They have gifts to share, gifts that this world desperately needs. ~Julie Daley

LOVE » ALLOWING

To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage. ~Lao Tzu

If you want to be loved, you have to be worth loving. ~Casanova

When you most feel like holding on to something, it is usually the best time to let go. ~David Cameron Gikandi

Truly loving another person with a capital "L" is a matter of freeing the other person of the responsibility to express his or her love for us only in the ways that we want to receive it.

When we truly love, we get out of our own way by dropping all the concerns of our ego and allowing the pure radiance of the divine to shine through us to another.

When the other person does that as well, the result is a pure and blissful experience of our own divinity reflected through another into a shared oneness. ~Judith Johnson

LIVE LIFE NOW!

I do receive your offered love like love, and will not wrong it. ~Hamletit means Accept apologies. Accept thanks. Accept praise. Accept what is given freely! ~from James M Lynch's The Hamlet Secret

Live a full life in even the simplest activities so that the more complex ones can be more fully realized too. It is YOUR life; live IN it. ~James M Lynch

For true success ask yourself these four questions: Why? Why not? Why not me? Why not now? ~James Allen

AWARENESS OF BEING » CONSCIOUSNESS

The Divine cannot experience itself through us if we are not connected to our spirit.
~Michele Blood

My mantra » It matters not what others choose or what others think about what I choose. What's important is I am pleased with me and as I see myself, I certainly am. ~Abraham

The words ‘I am’ are potent words. Be careful what you hitch them to. The thing that you are claiming has a way of reaching back and claiming you.
~A. L. Kitselman

Living an examined life denotes paying attention to what you are doing with your mind.
~Vaishali

It's your state of consciousness in the present moment that determines what kind of world you create, because you are humanity. Humanity as an abstract doesn't exist; humanity is the 'human being'. ~Eckhart Tolle

Without awareness we cannot grow, live the lives we would like to live or discover how to be more loving in our hearts while there's still time. Without awakening and valuing what we do have, we remain stuck in focusing on lack and set ourselves up for more of the same.
~Cara Barker

THE LAND OF 100 PERCENT RESPONSIBILITY

Every man who knows how to read has it in his power to magnify himself, to multiply the ways in which he exists, to make his life full, significant and interesting. ~Aldous Huxley

Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy. ~Kahlil Gibran

In the The Land of 100 Percent Responsibility... Each time you make a choice you bring about a consequence. If the consequence is that someone else gets hurt, then we are apt to "feel bad".  But we are not our feelings.  We are the results of the actions we take on top of the perfect beings we are created as. ~James M Lynch

In the The Land of 100 Percent Responsibility we may find ourselves making a decision or a choice that is the one we see as best. The consequence can be that someone we know will be disappointed or hurt, and this bothers us because we like to be liked.

Your job as a leader, as a person of integrity, is not to back down from doing the right thing because it might make you unpopular.  Do what needs to be done and be a grownup about it. ~James M Lynch

Responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself.  Having accepted this circumstance, this event, this problem, responsibility then means the ability to have a creative response to the situation as it is now.

All problems contain the seeds of opportunity, and this awareness allows you to take the moment and transform it to a better situation or thing.  ~Deepak Chopra and Annie B. Bond

CHALLENGES—OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH

Crisis is opportunity riding a dangerous wind. ~Chinese proverb

My attitude is: if your way isn't working, try mine. I'm doing all right. I'm healthy, happy, and I'm wealthy. I earn more money in one hour than I used to in twenty years. So I must know something. And I know that this (MindMovie) works." ~Bob Proctor

There’s the story of the man looking at all the problems of the world and asking God, "Why don’t you do something about the problems in the world"? And God replies, "I did – I created you". ~From Brad Yates

"Hey, I'm a former welfare mom who dropped out of high school," said Joy dryly. "Your past does not define you! We can all live a life of joy no matter what comes at you if we release the past, labels and constant negative self talk". ~Linda Joy with Kari Henley

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourself a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles. ~Helen Keller

Dwell not on the past. Use it to illustrate a point, then leave it behind. Nothing really matters except what you do now in this instant of time. From this moment onwards you can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed. ~Eileen Caddy

Obstacles come all the time. If you get upset that means the ego is back.  When obstacles come if you're not upset and you're still present, you will look at whatever the obstacle is with a penetrating gaze of presence, which is stillness also.

You look at whatever obstacle arises, you bring this penetrating stillness to it, and that is like a light that shines on it and dissolves the obstacle or shows you a way around it. That's the power of consciousness.  ~Eckhart Tolle

ACTION » OPPORTUNITIES

Opportunities increase as they are taken. ~Sun Tzu

As if. Act as if you are already the person you want to be. Act as if it is impossible not to get where you wish to go.  ~David Cameron Gikandi

Even the smallest action may be what is needed to move you on to great wealth. Everything counts, every act counts, every act defines your next world. The universe is one huge chain reaction. ~David Cameron Gikandi

Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won't laugh at you. ~Jim Rohn

If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much. ~Jim Rohn

Ideas are worthless without action. Action makes it possible to receive what is coming your way from your intentions. Intention initiates creation of wealth, action enables reception of it. Take action. ~David Cameron Gikandi

Do not try to do anything. Just do it. Or do not. But do not ever try to do it. Either you set out to do it, or you do not do it, but never set out to try to do it.  If you try to do something, the universe will try to give you a result.  But if you just do something with a resolve that it will be done (not it may work out, but it will work out), the universe will honor that resolve and give you back with its own resolve.
~David Cameron Gikandi

Set a goal to achieve something that is so big, so exhilarating that it excites you and scares you at the same time. It must be a goal that is so appealing, so much in line with your spiritual core that you can't get it out of your mind. If you do not get chills when you set a goal, you're not setting big enough goals. ~Bob Proctor

THOUGHTS » LAND–MINES OF THE MIND

There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so. ~Hamlet (from James M Lynch's The Hamlet Secret)

...the mind always looks out critically and deals with external events, but rarely bothers about itself. Therefore, we have to give it new instructions. Up to now, you have dealt with what's going on outside; that's well and good, but now the time has come to explore within and find out more about the mind itself.

In doing so, we also have to make an effort to restrain the way our thoughts follow memories of the past and speculations about the future.

We need to find the space between such thoughts, which like the water deep in the ocean, remains clear and undisturbed even though there may be waves on the surface.

This is one way to look at the mind itself; it's not easy, but I think it is worthwhile to try... ~The Dalai Lama in Be The Change

UNIVERSAL LAWS » Vibration » Attraction » Cause and Effect

Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them. ~W. Clement Stone

Happy conditions arise because you are happy, and not the other way around. Wealth comes to you because of your wealth consciousness. So before you act or do anything at all, first ask yourself, "How am I vibrating?" ~David Cameron Gikandi

As you deliberately look for positive aspects in others who surround you, you will train your Vibrational propensity into increasing improved Vibrations.

So it does not matter how many negative thoughts you have thought before, or how long you have been negatively focused. You can deliberately focus—right now—on an improved thought. ~Abraham-Hicks

DOUBT » WORRY » FEAR

Worry is a lack of all the facts needed in a particular situation. It is also the absence or suspension of certainty. It is misdirected and wasted energy.
~David Cameron Gikandi

When fear is in control, we become resistant to change and spontaneity; we get angry, defensive, hidden behind self-constructed walls of protection, which reinforces separateness, isolation and enmity. ~Ed and Deb Shapiro

Remove all thoughts of doubt and fear.  Never entertain them even for a moment.  Be mindful, watchful, and aware of your thoughts by simply deciding to be so.  Whenever you catch yourself doubting or fearing, stop those thoughts in their tracks, do not let them progress.

Do not encourage them, but do not resist them. Instead, watch them mindfully, detached, like an uninvolved watcher.  See what they are, where they come from, why they come to you, and how long they last.

By observing them in this way, you will be able to get behind them, get to their cause, their dark origins, and bring light to them, eventually eliminating them. ~David Cameron Gikandi

ANGER and RESENTMENT

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. ~Buddha

Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die. ~Malachy McCourt

An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.  ~Mahatma Gandhi

RELIGION

"...the word religion comes from a Latin root, legare, which means "to connect." Re- is a prefix meaning "again." Simply put, a "religious experience" is one that reconnects you to something that you (a) were previously connected to, (b) still are connected to, (c) always were connected to, or (d) all of the above."
~Russell Bishop

POLITICS

Current Republicans, who were profligate spenders and runaway earmarkers under Bush, now purse their lips and promise the same things that Reagan didn't deliver. Obama's emotional nemesis is Sarah Palin. She goes one step beyond Reagan by telling lies and appealing to the worst in human nature.

The president needs to realize that his Achilles heel was emotional detachment. He came in as a fix-it-up executive -- a role he performs brilliantly -- yet his greatest appeal is the opposite: people want to be emotionally inspired and reassured.
~Deepak Chopra

By acting as selfish and unscrupulous as they wanted, the Republicans halted the process of governance, blocked hundreds of appointments both judicial and executive, thumbed their noses at the Democrats' super-majority in the Senate, and to add insult to injury, ran against Obama's health care bill after they were the ones who ruined it.

In the process of having their cake and eating it, too, the Republicans proved that being the party of no could fool most of the people most of the time. ~Deepak Chopra

How you feel determines what you attract to you. You are like one huge radio with a tuning knob, and you can tune into any experience simply by matching your feeling to it.

Action is a necessary step, but the last step nevertheless. It cannot be used effectively to initiate, as initiation is the function of being, then thought. ~David Cameron Gikandi

not just a fistful of clay

with inward vision of the heart
Follow me there and see how unencumbered we become.
