Here's a tried and true problem solver from Dale Carnegie on how to analyse the problems you're worrying about.

1. Get the facts. Dean Hawkes of Columbia University said that "half the worry in the world is caused by people trying to make decisions before they have sufficient knowledge on which to base a decision."

2. After carefully weighing all the facts, make a decision.

3. Once a decision is carefully reached, act! Get busy carrying out your decision -- and dismiss all anxiety about the outcome.

4. On the job, when you or any of your associates are tempted to worry about a problem, here's what you do. Write down and answer the following questions:
  • What is the problem?
  • What is the cause of the problem?
  • What are all possible solutions?
  • What is the best solution?
When your answers are clear and concise, follow steps 2 and 3 above.

These basic techniques identify, define, breakdown and analyse your worries, efficiently, effectively and no-frills.

Eckhart Tolle says "worry only seems to be necessary". And according to Wallace D. Wattles, "the more you worry about something, the closer you bring it to you". That's  the law of attraction at work.
